A study in practical nostalgia, travelling back to the early 1980's with a fistful of cash, to buy all the stuff I couldn't afford on a paperboys salary.
I've just added a photos of most of the Hinchliffe Fantasy range to the bespoke page on this blog, so please pop over and have a look. More pics to follow soon and hopefully some posts of painted figures here.
Nice one! Good to see your site already looking more accessible than a few decades-old companies I could name. Although strictly I suppose you should get Tony Ackland to sketch each one, photography is just a tad new-fangled. :D
Nice - didn't realise these were one piece castings - would love to see those painted! Hunt out Mirage by Camel and get cracking - you know you want to;)
I love one piece castings...not sure why. I'm getting ready to paint one of each for display.... I'm listening to a lot of dungeon synth at the moment, but need to dust off the Camel CDs. Booked to see Wishbone Ash in November!
Figures full of character, l look forward to seeing them painted…
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to get one of everything painted, and am waiting for a new/old school Peco backdrop to use when photographing them.

ReplyDeleteThere's an idea. Not sure he'd be up for it though. I'm going to run with the blog for a while as I understand how to maintain that!

DeleteThese look great! Are some of the goblin variants in the full listing new? There are lots I haven't seen before, and they look terrific.
ReplyDeleteYes. They were sculpted by the last owner using the original 5 goblins as dollies. They fit in perfectly.
DeleteWonderful! So glad to see new life in these gobboes.
ReplyDeleteHoping to paint some up soon.
