Lambkin is a plastic figure from Caesar's box of 1/72 Fantasy Adventurers, and as I pinched him out of the kids toybox he was technically free. Sorry about the terrible photos... combination of rushing using my phone, and not being able to see the picture very well on the small screen. Once I upload it to the laptop, I can see the blurring and other mishaps.
Total spent so far £21.91p
That's a rather nice figure , often the best figures come from odd sources .
ReplyDeleteHope the youngest kids don't recognise it and want it back.
DeleteNice job with Caesar's Troll(?) - Lambkin(!) is another great character.
ReplyDeleteThe name is from the old legend of Long Lankin or Lambkin....check out the Steeleye Span song...it's really grisly.
DeleteI saw Steeleye Span a few years ago in Bristol when visiting the Aged Parents. They (Steeleye Span, not the parents) were doing the Wintersmith influenced songs as well as the older stuff. Very good. I was one of the youngest people there!!!
DeleteNot seen them for years unfortunately. Last time we saw Maddy Prior she was with The carnival Band.... Very good.
DeleteAwesome job. The force is really coming together.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to doing a full army shoot.
Delete"And we'll stick him, we'll stick him, we'll stick him with a pin ..."
ReplyDeleteLooks terrific!
Thanks JC. I do like those old folk songs and the variations you get. The one I know best goes "first we'll pinch him, then we'll prick him, then we'll stab him with a pin..". I might try and do a false nurse figure to accompany Lambkin.
DeleteI just imagine him opening windows, most scary.
ReplyDeleteHe prefers the hot weather as many casements are left open..
DeleteStealing off the kids is a perfectly acceptable approach.
ReplyDeleteAnd then threatening them with Lambkin ensures they are compliant (if only).
