Dungeon Floor Planners

I treated myself to a Christmas present which arrived on the 24th December luckily.

I had these as a youth, but fancied another look at them. That wonderful period when Warhammer still thought of itself as a role-playing game, and there were no boundaries to world building.

Each comes with a map that join together. An excellent resource for a campaign. The text within is all by Albie Fiore, so has that early D&D flavour of his excellent scenarios The Licheway and The Halls of Tizun Thane.

Covers by Gary Chalk and Iain McCaig...chefs kiss.

  1. Nice! Good to be generous with your self-gifting.

I've never owned either of these sets but the floor plans look very reminiscent of the ones that came in the 2nd edition MERP boxed set. Makes sense, I suppose.

    1. It was that or only having socks at Christmas. TBF my oldest son bought me a fancy razor as well.
These floorplans match the first 4 sets released by GW before they changed to cartoon style floorplans....

  2. Ohh I remember these with great fondness. A true golden age of rpgs and early wargames (loved your last post too). ...we did not know how well off we were then compared to the 'hard nosed business' end of the wedge we see now

  3. Yes, everything seemed so much more innocent then.
