MINIFIGS KNIGHTS

I think this may have been one of Joe Dever's oldest and perhaps favourite units. Originally 20 strong these red Minifigs knights appear in the battle covered on the Project Aon site, and also in a picture from Thistlewood, battling a wyvern in the distance. They were depleted to 14 when I took command of them and I'm going to get them back to strength. I just need 5 knights, either like the unpainted one shown, or the one with the horns which have been snipped off in Joe's unit. If anyone has these Minifigs AX knights in the UK, please get in touch.

I just love the simplicity of these Minifigs medievals and the way they are painted in enamels, possibly gloss enamel rather than being varnished.

Details of the foil pennants

Here they are in action battling a wyvern in the distance in White Dwarf 45

and fighting Chaos warriors about 1986

and arrayed for battle in Joe's games room about 1986 with full complement of 20 Knights
on the right hand side.

I'm on the lookout for 5 more like this or with horns.

I've got horses for them ready and waiting

so if anyone can help, drop me a comment below please and help these aged knights get back into battle.

ELUSIVE ORCS NEEDED

Time allowing I'm plugging away at my 1982 Joe Dever scene, and am almost finished really. I am missing a few figures to complete it and get it as accurate as possible

This chap is proving quite hard to find. I need about 6 and have located 2 so far.  I think he is an Asgard orc. If anyone out there has one they wish to sell, please do let me know.

TRADING POST ESTABLISHED

Having finished painting 400+ 54mm English Civil War Figures for a school project

I am cranking up the Fantasy engine again and hope very soon to get stuck into some Oldhammer, Prehammer and Skinthammer projects. I have far too may figures to deal with, but there are a few more that I reeeeeaaaaalllly need (there is always room for a few more figures). Click on the link at the top right of the page to be transported to Windy Jape's Liquor Emporium (or in fact to see a list of the few rarities I am seeking). I hope to get around to putting photos of the boxes of surplus stuff I have to trade with in the very near future.

ARCHIVE DOOMGUARD

Very occasionally I force myself awake to bid for a figure on Ebay USA , the auctions tending to end in the middle of the night here in England. Last night I woke myself up to bid for a figure I first saw in White Dwarf 17 (reviewed in Molten Magic )and wanted ever since The Doom guard by Archive Miniatures. I would have probably won the auction so keen was I to get it, but the grip of Morpheus was too strong and I went back to sleep waking 10 minutes after the bidding ended.

So a plea to any readers, if you have this figure and want to sell it, let me know

nostalgia is a powerful force, but not powerful enough to keep me awake after a weekend at home with the kids.

RECRUITING NOW...

Following Thantsants example here in which he posts pictures of the goodies he is seeking, I have slavishly done the same as it seems such a good idea

First up I need 9 more of this chap, Ral Partha Armoured centaur for King Amias loyal centaur guard. There is a variant holding the spear slightly forward,  either will make me happy.

Next, a rather flaky little ghoul, again from Ral Partha. In 1983, when Thistlewood was published there were not many ghouls on the market, and Lord Vassago requires a bodyguard of 15. So far I have 11.

I am always after this figure, possibly my all time favourite miniature, again from Ral Partha. Hecatron or Armoured Giant. I have 11 already, but can never get too many (strange really). This piccy is pinched off Coolminiornot. I really must get my painted ones photographed.

Here is a monster that I am finding really hard to track down. The Well Drakken from Ral Partha (there is a decidedly American theme running through my wants)

I like the Froudian look of this chap, also reminds me of Scandinavian trolls creeping through vast pine or birch forests.

I have hundreds more I can't live without, but I will be keeping my eyes skinned for these in particular.
