GREEN STUFF AND SPAM

Not a Dr. Suess book, but a post warning I've introduced Captcha to my comments after a barrage of spam (I was warned by Thansants, and should have paid heed). Hopefully that will keep the bots at bay.

After sticking shields onto all my non Heritage riders of Rohan, I remembered I had a pack of Oyumaru which I hadn't tried out. So I made some press moulds of an existing Heritage shield which took about 10 minutes. I then had a go with green stuff in the moulds with varying levels of success.

The green stuff didn't seem to cure very well, so I popped them in the fridge to harden up hopefully. I then tried milliput in the moulds which should be ready by tomorrow.

  1. Really interesting to see how this goes. A cunning plan indeed!

    1. Green stuff seems to be the winner do far, still a bit bendy to but ok.

  2. Watching with interest! Also perhaps later in the year if you are willing and able we can arrange a meeting and game. Although I've actually worked harder than usual over the last year the lack of social contact outside work has determined me to make more effort once things settle down!

    Another music recommendation for you:

    1. Btw Gareth. Geoff at Oakbound is running a safe Woods game in some Woods near Stroud on 29th June. Not exactly close but a straight run up the M5 for you.

  3. That sounds like a plan. I seem to have got less done over the Last year, mainly due to ennui and laziness. I'm finding blogging progress gives me more motivation once I realise other people may actually be interested in what I'm doing! Again will check the link. Yet to top Tarot do far. I'm listening to a lot of dungeon synth which I find easy on the lugholes.

  4. Nice idea with the green stuff shields. I need to do something like that so I can stop buying Oldhammer plastic shields second hand on ebay for a hundred bucks an ounce. I'm sure these will look great!

    1. Oyumaru was surprisingly easy to use... Getting the thickness of the green stuff right is a bit tricky, but most presses come out ok.

  6. Looks promising - I tried press moulding some stuff for my Shrine of Rigg but it was a bit half hearted and in between other projects and also involved milliput as that was all I had to hand - must give it another go when I get back to Lustria and invest in some green stuff!

Sorry to hear about the spam - I find it both equally incomprehensible and infuriating.
